Carolyn Ryder, Legal Practitioner Director
Carolyn Ryder enjoys supporting retirees and families in the local area to reach their goals and solve legal problems. She has a wide range of legal skills in Estate Planning, Family Law, Conveyancing and Small Business Law and can be the sounding board and support person you are looking for if you are under pressure or stressed.
Carolyn has practised as a solicitor in Queensland for over 20 years, and brings a commercial approach to matters requiring sensitivity and support. Carolyn has built a reputation in the local community as the trusted lawyer to contact for complex legal and personal matters.
Carolyn is a committee member of the Foundation for Independence, Recreation and Social Training Inc, who provide quality individualised support, development and training for people living with a disability. She is also a director of Moreton Bay Rock Oysters, a family-owned aquaculture enterprise at Kooringal, Moreton Island.
Carolyn is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
Brenna Simpson, Solicitor
Brenna Simpson is a solicitor at Ryder Lawyers who has a special interest in Family Law and Wills and Estates Law.
Brenna is passionate about working with individuals who are considering separating from their partners and helping them to make informed decisions about their legal rights. She offers support to people during what can be a very vulnerable time.
Brenna also enjoys empowering young families by assisting them with their estate planning needs, including Wills, Enduring Power of Attorneys and Superannuation Benefits.
In her early career after studying for a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Brenna worked in the child safety sphere where she assisted vulnerable families and children. It was here that Brenna found a passion for social justice and shifted her career towards the law.
While completing her legal studies Brenna worked for Ryder Lawyers as a paralegal and law graduate for over three years and has been personally mentored and trained by Ryder Lawyers’ Legal Practitioner Director Carolyn.
Brenna is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
When not at work Brenna enjoys playing netball, reading and spending time with her fiancé.
